The truth is, I don't know. Finding a therapist who is trustworthy, competent, caring, empathetic can be a challenge. It is similar to finding the right doctor, dentist, or hairdresser. There are no guarantees upfront, but you have to be willing to try.
For me, empathy, confidentiality, and authenticity are integral parts of counseling so that we can successfully work towards set therapy goals. I am patient in listening, caring, and supportive. Since every client is unique with his/her own needs, values, struggles, and goals, I use integrative approach to create personally tailored therapy.
